Vicente   Prieto   i s   a   concert   pianist   praised   for   his   maturity   and   sensitivity   as   well as his piano skills and creative spirit. In   recent   years,   Prieto   has   been   awarded   in   several   competitions   that   are   promoting   his   international   career :   1st   Prize   in   the   "XV   Villa   de   Cox   Competition"   (Spain,   2018),   1st   Prize   in the   "III   Clamo   Music   International   Piano   Competition"   (Spain,   2016),   in   the   "XVI   Maria   Giubilei International    Piano    Competition"    (Italy,    2015),    2nd    Prize    in    the    "III    Primavera    Pianística International   Piano   Competition"   (Belgium,   2015),   Special   Jury   Prize   in   the   "Coimbra   World Piano Meeting Competition" (Portugal, 2016). CONCERTS His   concerts   have   so   far   taken   place   in   Spain,   Portugal,   France,   Belgium,   Germany   and   Italy. As   a   soloist   he   has   performed   with   different   orchestras   such   as   Hims   Mola   Orchestra,   City   of Elche   Symphony   Orchestra   or   Symphony   Orchestra   of   the   Region   of   Murcia,   performing concertos   such   as   n.2   Op.21   by   Chopin,   n.2   Op.18   by   Rachmaninov,   n.23   K.448   by   Mozart   or Concerto for double orchestra, piano and timpani by Martinu H.271. He   has   also   performed   with   pianist   Naira   Perdu   concertos   for   2   pianos   BWV   1060   by   Bach and K.365 by Mozart and "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint Saens.
EDUCATION Prieto   began   his   studies   in   his   hometown,   Molina   de   Segura,   motivated   by   the   musical environment   that   he   breathed   at   home   and   soon   he   moved   to   the   Conservatorio   Profesional de   Música   de   Murcia   to   study   with   D.   Miguel   Luis   Losada   Rodríguez.   There   he   finished   his studies with High Distinction and an Extraordinary End of Degree Prize. An    outstanding    student    of    the    conservatory,    he    was    already    awarded    in    different competitions   for   young   pianists:   2nd   Prize   in   the   "VII   Mariana   Baches   Competition"   (2008), 1st   Prize   and   Special   Prize   Virginia   Martínez   Fernández   in   the   "II   Villa   de   Molina   Competition" (2010),   1st   Prize   in   the   "CPMM   Ginés   Abellán   Competition"   (2010),   1st   Prize   in   the   "III   Villa   de Molina Competition" (2012). In   June   2010   he   entered   the   Manuel   Massotti   Littel   Conservatory   to   complete   his   bachelor studies   with   Pilar   Valero   Abril,   who   was   essential   in   his   education.         Prieto   obtained   High Distinction   in   all   the   courses   and   in   2015   he   received   a   scholarship   that   allowed   him   to participate    in    the    "Internationale    Sommerakademie"    of    the    Mozarteum    University    in Salzburg.  During   the   academic   year   2011-12   he   attended   the   Schola   Cantorum   in   Paris   and   later   he went   to   Coimbra   to   study   with   Maestro   Aquiles   Delle   Vigne   and   in   September   2015,   Vicente moved   to   Brussels   to   study   the   Master   Degree   at   the   Koninklijk   Conservatorium   Brussel   with the great pianist Boyan Vodenitcharov, obtaining " High Distinction " in his final recital.
RECORDINGS In   2010   Prieto   participated   in   the   recording   of   a   CD   and   a   series   of   concerts   organized   by   the   Polish   Embassy   to   commemorate   the   200th anniversary of F. Chopin. A year later, on the occasion of the European Music Day, he took part in a recital broadcast live by RNE (Radio Nacional de España). In November 2018 a recording was released for the association Promúsica Molina. CURRENTLY In   addition   to   his   activity   as   a   soloist,   Vicente   works   since   2011   with   the   Symphony   Orchestra   of   the   Region   of   Murcia,    expanding   his vision of music and receiving advice from great conductors. He is a member of Iber Pianoduo  with Arturo Ruiz, a duo with whom he has recently received two international prizes. Currently, Prieto lives in Brussels, a city where he combines his artistic activity with teaching, another facet he is passionate about.
